About the Land of Our Dreams.

Damn, he’s good! Not a teleprompter in sight and not an “uh, I mean, you know” to be heard — which have become the standards under President Obama. I can’t recall ever having heard anyone better. Or, for that matter, anyone his equal. How does he compare to President Obama The Great Thinker and Great Orator? There is no contest and even to suggest such a comparison elevates President Obama to a position far higher than he has ever earned or ever can.

I very much hope that President Romney will give Colonel West his choice of Cabinet posts. We need his help in guiding our national destiny — while doing so successfully remains possible.

I also hope that Candidate Romney will now enlist Colonel West as his debate/speaking coach and, of greater importance, ask him to appear frequently at his campaign events. Candidate Romney could not do better, for his candidacy or for the nation.

I was graduated from Yale University in 1963 with a B.A. in economics and from the University of Virginia School of law, where I was the notes editor of the Virginia Law Review, in 1966. Following a four years of active duty with the Army JAG Corps, with two tours in Korea, I entered private practice in Washington, D.C. specializing in communications law.
