How and why did LTC Allen West (U.S. Army, Ret.) get into politics? The shame of having even one competent and honorable gentleman as an “Honorable Member” of the Congress may bring the whole political system crashing down. Not only might the effects be disastrous to the entire Washington Beltway economy, the horrid consequences could trickle down even to fly-over country. West must be banished immediately to some foreign, perhaps mythical, land where honor and competence are appreciated and reign.

He does not want you to have the self-esteem of getting up and earning, and having that title of American. He’d rather you be his slave.

Following four years of active duty with the Army JAG Corps, with two tours in Korea, I entered private practice in Washington, D.C. specializing in communications law.
