The ISIS-Assad Alliance

If the article is accurate, the ISIS (now IS) is a greater threat to western civilization than I had thought — and I had thought earlier that it was a big threat.

(This article is clearly “against the conventional narrative in Syria.” It is also contrary to what I had thought I understood. I do not know whether it’s assertions and conclusions are accurate. However, the quoted PJ media article and an earlier article there by the same author, also quoted, seem to be well supported, as does the quoted Daily Beast article. All three are well worth reading and considering. If accurate, there is a far greater problem with IS than I had thought, and it does not affect only Iraq.  — DM)

I was graduated from Yale University in 1963 with a B.A. in economics and from the University of Virginia School of law, where I was the notes editor of the Virginia Law Review in 1966. Following four years of active duty with the Army JAG Corps, with two tours in Korea, I entered private practice in Washington, D.C. specializing in communications law.
